Get Clients This Week: Business Development Coaching
with Ron Wilder

Dear Entrepreneur, Business Owner, and Independent Professional Service Provider,

Imagine that it is Monday and you have a sales meeting with a potential new client on Wednesday.

Do you:

A: Try to talk to your spouse about your proposal and pricing Speech bubblesstrategy in between dinner and taking the kids to soccer or dance lessons – and then pricing advice that really is based on desire for safety or an incomplete understanding of your client and business and the specific opportunity?

OR

B: Do you talk with your sales manager?

If you worked for a company, you would have a sales manager — their job is to help you be effective and achieve your goals, make your numbers, guide you in pursuing specific opportunities, and making sure that you are focused and aligned with the bigger strategy. Sometimes they will support you by saying no — to not pursue certain business because it doesn’t fit and to refocus elsewhere.

Some companies are really good at this and the best sales managers are great at developing people, but this is not the default. Sometimes they get too focused on admin, tracking, expense reports, vs coaching you to be at your best in front of the client. If they have any time left over, they can coach you to perform better.

Now you go out on your own in your own business. Who does that for you? You by yourself? Your spouse? As Dr. Phil says, how’s that working for you?

Who is helping you stay focused on a week-by-week basis — to support you in creating the daily habits and behaviors to do what is necessary to get results wanted and build skillset along the way?

Who helps you get ready for opportunities that you have THIS WEEK?

Imagine if you had that person in your business, supporting you.

Imagine that person is not your spouse!

Imagine that person is not only not your spouse — they are 100% unconditionally constructive, and highly experienced in the realm
of B2B business development and consultative sales.

Imagine that you could ask this person questions about upcoming opportunities and get specific ideas about what to do, not do, say, not say,
offer, etc? Giving you context-specific guidance and helping you see things you can’t see?

What would that do for your business over time to have that support?direction-vs-strategy-2

What would that do for your relationship, to have better results, feel more confident about yourself, and to be able to discuss big vision with your spouse and have a different outlet for the day to day ups/downs that are inevitable in running a business?

This leads me to the first of two strategies that will increase your income and improve your relationship.

Hire me to be your independent sales manager.

I provide a weekly support structure for you as the entrepreneur so you can focus on client creation, sales, and business development actions in the most effective way.

Here’s how it works.

I host an open Q&A call every week (pretty much every Monday), where you can call in and ask questions about upcoming opportunities.

It’s called: GET CLIENTS THIS WEEK with RON WILDER

It is a laser-focused call — on the specific question — who are you meeting with this week and how can I help you prepare?

Any situation or scenario that relates to business development and sales is ok. There are other issues I can help you with in different settings and arrangements, but the agenda for this specific call is very focused.

I ran these calls last year for a small group of private clients, and it was a lot of fun. We dealt with a wide range of questions like how to sell to CEOs, how to present pricing options, how to work with other influencers, how to work with referral partners, how to structure proposals, how to deal with hidden objections, how to determine value, etc.

One of my favorite stories involves a marketing/personal brand expert who asked this question: Today I’m talking to a client who is coming up on the end of her contract? What specifically do I offer her now? We outlined a specific package and pricing options.

Later that afternoon, I got a text message that the client said yes,MoneyPocket at a price point 3x higher than the previous fee on an effective hourly basis.

This marketing expert just shared a testimonial with me from one of her clients — who has now changed her life by working with her — yet in order to do the work, she had to get her as a client. The marketing expert wrote to thank me for pushing her to launch a new program.

Beyond the money itself, as your sales manager I’ll support you to keep expanding your work so you can bring it to people who will really benefit from it.

You get the opportunity to ask your questions AND TO learn from the experience of other entrepreneurs like you. Very often, someone else’s question and answers will give you insight about your business.

How-To-Use-Lifetime-Customer-Value-to-Increase-Sales-and-Make-Better-DecisionsIf you are like most independent entrepreneurs I work with, your effective hourly rate ranges from $100 to $500 per hour. If you do the work and take action, you make your money back through getting more clients, higher fees, higher conversion, more profitable service engagements — not to mention easing the strain on your relationship and improving your skillset, habits, and self-confidence.

I debated what to charge for this virtual independent sales manager service. On the one hand, the value of just one new client can easily recover your investment, plus the fact that you are building sales habits for life. On the other hand, I want to make the program accessible to independent entrepreneurs to support you in your growth — while making sure that you have skin in the game.

At this point, I settled on charter pricing of $497 per month. Investing at that level gets you:

1. Get Clients This Week Call – build your habits, skills, and clientèle. Improve your finances and relationship. Held every week, with a few exceptions for vacation/travel. One question that comes up is this: what if I already have a coach or I’m in another training program?

That’s great. I totally support that. I go to several trainings a year and am always learning new things — both in terms of my core skillset and my business skillset. Yet when I work with my own coaches, sometimes the topic is not really related to specific business activity of the week. So unless your coaches are providing the specific sales management function and providing support for habits, where are you getting this from?

See you on the call next Monday!

“Working with Ron Wilder and his team is a complete joy. If you are wanting to get laser focused on how to most quickly grow your business, please find your way to him. I met Ron when I was in a confused state about what direction to take my business – and money does not like confusion. Ron helped me to see clearly what my real strengths are and helped give me the courage to step into those strengths with integrity and compassion. Within a month my pipeline of potential clients filled and I am seeing conversions, one by one. He offers sales processes tailored to fit me individually like a glove and when I follow them, they work. Thank you Ron, for giving me my business back!”

When I first started working with Ron, I had a hobby and not a business. He helped me literally triple my rates and have the confidence to be able to sell that in the sales conversation and it instantly worked and it’s just been growing from there.
I would recommend Ron to a friend or anyone in business because what he brings to the table is the strategy you need but then he really shows you how to get there. He doesn’t just leave you at the table to go figure it out by yourself. I think his real strength is being one to really see your inner strength and guide you to get to the place you need to go.”

FAQs for Get Clients Now With Ron Wilder

1. When do we start?
We start Monday June 8, 2pm Eastern.

2. What time is the call?
The calls will generally be Mondays at 2pm Eastern/11 Pacific. Subject to change on occasion due to business travel or vacation.

3. What if I can’t make the call on a certain week or every week? Will I still get value?
All calls are recorded and uploaded to the member’s area. You can email a question to me in advance, post it in the Facebook group, or leave a voice memo and I’ll respond on the call.

Also, recognize that “can’t make the call” is a choice. If you have a client commitment or meeting with a new client, great. The empowered language to start using is “what if I make a different choice that week?”

Even if you just make it to one call during the month and get your question answered that week — and that results in new business — it pays for itself many times over.

The key to progress is habits and practices. Make a commitment every Monday to review your client pipeline and prepare for your week’s business development actions. We’ll help you. If you miss a week, commit to listening to the recording and tracking your pipeline every week.

4. Why don’t you offer a free trial?
I don’t offer a free trial because I want you to have skin in the game right away. Make a decision to create the weekly habits to grow your business and get the support that will help you get there. If you determine that this program is not right for you, you can cancel and we’ll refund your most recent month.

5. Can I still get the housekeeper incentive later?
No. It ends Monday, 2pm. After that, you can join at the charter member investment of $497 per month.

6. I’m still not sure…
Well, at this point, what you aren’t sure about is if you really want to grow your business and are committed to making a change to do what is necessary. There really is no risk (see #4 above) in terms of my part of the equation. It really is up to you.
